I'm very happy with Skype (or any video chat). To me, it's almost as good as sitting together in the living room. Neither you nor I have to travel to see each other in order to have a class or a casual conversation. We can sit in our own homes, casually dressed, with a beverage.
I watched Brazil play in the world cup games with Skype on my laptop, connected to Paula, one of my students in São Paulo, Brazil. Paula was at a party with friends, drinking beer and eating hotdogs, watching the game on TV. I was at my home doing the same thing. Each time Brazil scored, Paula and I discussed the game via Skype and I could hear her friends cheering. It was fun. I felt like I was at the party.
Do you enjoy video chat?
First of all, I would like to greet you a Happy Birthday! Today is my first day to sign in with this English Learning Forum website. My apology for not posting a picture of my profile yet but I'm working on it.
Thank you for creating this website. I am pleased to be part of this wonderful opportunity to make friends with your other students. Looking forward to experience video chatting with other students as well as practice and improve my conversational skills.
I totally agree. Having classes at home on Skype was as strong point that lead me to sign up for her classes. Also the flexibility at choosing the day and the hour I want to have classes. Wonderful idea.
I loved the initiative to create this space for the students know at least a little about others and have conversation.
I encourage more students share their Skype names, than others can contact them to chat more.
I really want to find other students to talk in English.
